The Montreal metro has been around for decades, and over time, it’s become home to a wide range of public artworks from different artists. These pieces are spread across all four lines, but most go unnoticed by people rushing through their commute.
I was drawn to the idea of what’s hidden in plain sight. As Montrealers, we pass through these stations every day without really noticing what surrounds us. I wanted the design to reflect that by revealing itself gradually. Instead of focusing on perfect legibility, I used visual layering and subtle abstraction to mirror how we catch pieces of things in passing.
